Hon. John Tien

Former Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security
The Hon. John Tien is a distinguished fellow at Georgia Tech and Harvard’s Belfer Center, and a professor at Georgia Tech. He served as deputy secretary of Homeland Security from 2021 to 2023.

Dr. Lonnie Johnson

CEO & Founder of Johnson R&D
Dr. Lonnie Johnson is the CEO and Founder of Johnson R&D and Johnson Battery Technologies, and the inventor of the Super Soaker. He has over 100 patents and has developed world-class technologies, including the JTEC device. A former NASA engineer, Dr. Johnson has received numerous awards and is an inductee of the State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame.
